Hi everyone,

With the arrival of the rainy season here, spring has finally come to an end. The vegetation that fills the ravines and streams of the Boso Peninsula is now growing rapidly, transforming these quiet places into a world of vivid green.

This is my favourite time of year to explore and photograph local ravines. The water is still cool from the spring months, and the steep walls are covered with ferns and other native plants. In places, small wildflowers add touches of colour among the greenery.

What draws me back year after year is the intensity of the green. At this time of year, it is so bright that it is almost blinding. The leaves catch every trace of light, and their reflections shimmer on the trickling water below. Sometimes the photos don’t look real, so my thought is that the more I photograph it, the more believable it will become.

Here is a small selection of photographs I have taken in local ravines here in Boso, I hope they convey some of the freshness and beauty of these sacred places. If you’d like to see more images like these, take a look at the galleries section of the site. I have a whole gallery there called Boso Ravines.

Thanks and Enjoy!
